Mark Driscoll Asks Donors For $250 A Month As Ministry Claims To Be Second Biggest Only To Jesus

Yes, the $250 figure is correct. Mark Driscoll's RealFaith Ministries is inviting supporters to join "The Remnant," a recurring giving community with three publicly advertised monthly tiers. "The Faithful" costs $35, "The Torchbearers" costs $100 and "The Watchmen" costs $250 per month.

In return, members are promised exclusive access to thousands of hours of biblical teaching, Driscoll's digital books and audiobooks, members-only material and weekly content. The ministry also says partners will receive new physical books and priority access to RealFaith events, potentially including premium seating or members-only entry.

For donors prepared to give even more, RealFaith promotes an unpriced level called "The Council." It is intended for people willing to make "significant, legacy-level financial investments" and promises private briefings, strategic partnership and deeper engagement. The website does not disclose how much Council participants are expected to donate.

The fundraising campaign becomes even more eye-catching when RealFaith explains what the money will support. One heading describes its goal as the "2nd Largest Ministry in History," followed by the declaration, "Only behind Jesus." Elsewhere, the ministry calls this its prayer to become "the second most impactful ministry in history-right behind King Jesus."

The language has sparked sharp criticism online, with detractors questioning whether any pastor-led organization should describe itself in such extraordinary terms. Others have accused the campaign of placing Christian resources and insider privileges behind recurring donor levels.

RealFaith insists the campaign is about building a worldwide Bible-teaching and equipping movement. It is calling for 7,000 people who will "stand" when the culture changes and even encourages Christians already tithing to a local church to support RealFaith above and beyond that tithe.

The $250 monthly Watchmen tier is publicly listed and verified. However, claims that Driscoll is demanding thousands of dollars each month for access to him cannot currently be confirmed from the campaign page. The price attached to its private Council level remains undisclosed.
