HYBE x Geffen Records officially revealed their second global girl group on May 12 - and three of its four members are faces the Dream Academy community has known for years. The group's name: Saint Satine.
Who is Saint Satine?
Saint Satine is a four-member multinational girl group under HYBE x Geffen Records, the same powerhouse partnership that created KATSEYE. Three members - Emily (USA, 20), Lexie (Sweden, 21), and Samara (Brazil, 20) - were originally introduced through The Debut: Dream Academy and featured in Netflix's Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE docuseries, where they built devoted international followings despite not making the final KATSEYE lineup.
The fourth and final member, Sakura (Japan, 16), was selected through World Scout: The Final Piece, a survival show that aired exclusively on Japan's ABEMA platform. Sakura was chosen from over 14,000 applicants across Japan, with the reveal happening live during the show's finale broadcast on May 12.
Meet the four members
Emily | USA, age 20 Previously known as a Dream Academy fan favorite. A performance powerhouse from Dallas, Texas with explosive stage presence. She even performed as a background dancer for XG at Coachella 2025. (Dream Academy alumni)
Lexie | Sweden, age 21 A songwriter and producer based in Stockholm. Her Dream Academy journey was emotional - she withdrew due to competition pressure, making her Saint Satine debut feel like a full-circle moment. (Dream Academy alumni)
Samara | Brazil, age 20 Widely considered the group's strongest vocalist. Finished 7th in Dream Academy's live finale and built a massive following particularly across Latin America. (Dream Academy alumni)
Sakura | Japan, age 16 The newest addition, selected through World Scout from 14,000+ applicants. The youngest member of the group by four years - a detail that has already sparked debate online among fans.
Why this matters for KATSEYE fans
Saint Satine follows the exact same playbook HYBE and Geffen used to launch KATSEYE - a multinational lineup, a survival show selection process, and a global debut strategy built for multiple markets at once. The difference is size: four members instead of six, and a younger, softer identity by design.
Emily, Lexie, and Samara were even spotted in the crowd at KATSEYE's Coachella 2026 performance earlier this year - watching their former training companions headline one of the world's biggest stages. Now it is their turn.
The group's debut single "Party b4 the Party" performed live for the first time during the World Scout finale, with their official debut album Shining Star dropping May 20, 2026.
Saint Satine's official debut arrives May 20, 2026 via HYBE x Geffen Records.
