Tommee Profitt went back into the studio - and "Blessed Assurance" is better for it.
The cinematic producer released a brand new radio version of "Blessed Assurance (I Will Praise You)" featuring vocalist Mara Justine, along with an official music video. The track originally appeared on his 2026 album The Resurrection of a King, but Profitt felt the song still had more to give.
Rather than simply editing the album cut, he rebuilt the entire arrangement - reworking the song's structure, adding acoustic and electric guitars, tightening the tempo, and reshaping the momentum to land on what he calls a "powerful, triumphant ending." The core emotion of the original was kept intact.
The music video matches that ambition. Profitt and his team set up a piano in dirt and grass, built the visual world around light and sun imagery, and produced something he describes as more energetic and cinematic than anything he has made before.
Mara Justine, known for her appearances on America's Got Talent, American Idol, and The Voice, leads the vocals. Profitt has said she was his first and only choice for the song the moment he began reimagining it.
Fanny Crosby wrote "Blessed Assurance" in 1873. More than 150 years later, it is finding a new generation of listeners - which may be exactly what a song about unshakeable faith was always meant to do.
The new radio version and music video are out now on YouTube and all major streaming platforms.
