Jenn Johnson has been a pillar of Bethel Music for over two decades. On Friday, May 22, she steps fully into her own lane for the first time.
HAPPY - her debut solo album - arrives this week via Bethel Music, and it is one of the most anticipated Christian music releases of the year. Johnson describes the 12-track project as "a mosaic - a walk through my life," combining personal vulnerability with spiritual declaration.
The album has been building all year through four pre-release singles. "Here In Your Arms" featuring Brian Johnson launched in February, followed by "Walk With Me" featuring Tiffany Hudson of Elevation Worship in March, "Mad at God" in April, and "Thank You Lord" featuring Brooke Ligertwood on May 1.
The full album features an impressive lineup of guests: Kari Jobe, Brooke Ligertwood, Gable Price, Tiffany Hudson, Brian Johnson, and others all appear on the record, which was produced by Josh Holiday and Paul Mabury.
As co-founder and president of Bethel Music, Johnson has co-written global worship anthems including "Goodness of God," "The Blood," and "Holy Forever" - the latter earning a GRAMMY nomination in 2025 in a version featuring CeCe Winans. With songwriting credits across 18 Bethel Music albums, this solo debut has been a long time coming - and from everything released so far, it sounds like she saved her most personal writing for herself.
HAPPY drops Friday, May 22 on all streaming platforms. Pre-save and pre-order are live now at jennjohnson.com.
