Jennette McCurdy Writing & Starring in New Web Series 'Whats Next For Sarah', Watch New Episodes Here
Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande officially had their Nickelodeon show "Sam & Cat" cancelled earlier this year and now news has surfaced of McCurdy's next project.
The 22-year-old actress will write and star in her very own web series, titled "What's Next for Sarah".
The series will hit very close to home for McCurdy as the premise is, "the eponymous Sarah, an actress who gained fame on a TV show for tweens and is now forced to figure out what to do with her life."
"I wanted 'What's Next for Sarah' to be a light-hearted call-out to some of the more absurd experiences I've faced growing up in the entertainment industry," she told the Hollywood Reporter.
"My goal was to exaggerate some of the more classic Hollywood archetypes - the phony reporter, the insincere agent, the duplicitous casting director - and heighten them to a surreal extent that we can all laugh at," she said. "We all have those moments where we feel like the world is entirely crazy, and we're the only sane person."
She has currently published four episodes, they are short, only lasting from three to six minutes. The latest episode includes a variety of caricatures of phony Hollywood industry workers, including a dishonest casting director and brown-nosing agents.
"I saw 'What's Next for Sarah' as a creative opportunity for me to try my hand at more behind-the-scenes aspects of entertainment and learn more about the production process as a whole," she explained to the Hollywood Reporter.
If you want to see what Jennette's new web series is all about, you can watch her four episodes that are posted at her official webside HERE.
