Music's biggest night just found a new home - and the window for Christian artists to make history is already open.
The 69th Grammy Awards will air live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 7, 2027, simulcast across ABC, Disney+, and Hulu - the first time the ceremony has aired on ABC since 1972, ending more than 50 years on CBS. The move kicks off a 10-year deal between the Recording Academy and The Walt Disney Company, signed in October 2024.
Grammy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said in a statement: "This is an exciting time for us as an organization - a new home and a bold new chapter for the Grammy Awards. We're just getting started, and the best is yet to come."
Key dates every music fan needs to know: The eligibility period runs August 31, 2025 through August 28, 2026. First-round voting opens October 12-22, 2026. Nominations are announced November 16, 2026. Final-round voting runs December 10, 2026 through January 7, 2027. No host has been announced yet - Trevor Noah hosted in 2026 and confirmed it would be his last time.
Why this matters for Christian music
That eligibility window is already in motion - and it covers some of the most significant Christian music releases in years. Cory Asbury's comeback single "Outsing the Angels," Switchfoot's upcoming Forever Now (June 26), Amy Grant's The Me That Remains, Jenn Johnson's HAPPY, and Forrest Frank's JESUS IS ALIVE are all within the eligible period. Any of them could be hearing their name called in November.
Moving to ABC, Disney+, and Hulu significantly expands the potential viewing audience - which means Christian and gospel artists who earn nominations will have more eyes on their moment than ever before.
November 16 is the date to watch. Between now and then, the music being made in the Christian community right now is Grammy-eligible. That is not a small thing.
