Morgan Wallen's Denver concert on May 29 ended with a moment nobody saw coming - and it's all over the internet.

During the first of two shows at Empower Field at Mile High, Wallen sat down at the piano to perform "Sand in My Boots" - one of his most beloved ballads - when a technical malfunction left him unable to hear the instrument through his in-ear monitors.

He stood up, belted the rest of the song a cappella while pacing the stage, then lowered his microphone and used both hands to push the piano over, sending it crashing onto its side.

The crowd reacted immediately. Fans online flooded the comments praising his vocal performance. "No piano needed - sound better without it!!" one fan wrote. Others were more critical, but the clip spread fast regardless.

The night had already carried some buzz before the show even started - Denver Broncos legend John Elway walked out with Wallen before he took the stage.

For a self-described perfectionist performing in a 76,000-seat stadium, a monitor failure mid-song is the kind of thing that doesn't go quietly. And it didn't.

What often gets overlooked in moments like this is that Wallen donates a portion of every ticket sold on the Still The Problem Tour to his Morgan Wallen Foundation, which supports youth programs in sports and music.

The piano may be on the floor. The tour rolls on.
