Pat Barrett is inviting listeners into a more intimate worship experience.
The worship leader has announced Burn In Us, a brand-new collection of acoustic recordings from his I've Got A Fire era, revealing a fresh side to songs that have already resonated with churches and listeners around the world. The project arrives July 31, with fans already able to stream the first release, "Count On You (Worship Together Sessions)."
Rather than simply re-recording familiar tracks, Barrett says the sessions were intentionally designed to capture the feeling of gathering together in a room for worship. Recorded alongside the team at Worship Together, the stripped-back performances trade big production for raw honesty, allowing the lyrics and melodies to take center stage.
"I spent some time with my friends at Worship Together recording acoustic versions of songs from the I've Got A Fire album," Barrett shared. "It was really special getting to slow these songs down and capture them in a way that feels like you're right there in the room worshiping with us."
The upcoming Burn In Us album promises a more personal listening experience, giving fans an opportunity to hear the songs in their simplest and most reflective form. It's a fitting companion to I've Got A Fire, highlighting Barrett's passion for creating worship music that serves both the local church and personal moments of devotion.
