Christian singer-songwriter Ryan Stevenson has released a new song and accompanying music video, "Different Kinda Love," out now on streaming platforms and YouTube.
Stevenson announced the release Friday, July 24, encouraging fans to stream the track and check out the video on his YouTube channel. In a personal message accompanying the release, he explained the heart behind the song, describing God's love as one that doesn't wait for people to earn it. He said the track was written to remind listeners that God's love meets people in the middle of their mess and remains steady even when life feels like it's falling apart - a love he called simply "a different kinda love."
The release continues a prolific stretch for Stevenson, who has put out a steady stream of new music in 2026, including the singles "Oklahoma" and "This I Know," following his 2025 album "Valley Lows, Mountain Highs" and the EP "The Wilderness Diaries."
A Pacific Northwest native who spent seven years working as a paramedic before signing with Gotee Records, Stevenson broke through with his GRAMMY-nominated co-write on TobyMac's "Speak Life," followed by his own Dove Award-winning hit "Eye of the Storm," which topped Christian radio charts and later became the subject of his debut book detailing his journey through grief, career setbacks, and faith.
With "Different Kinda Love," Stevenson adds another chapter to a catalog built on turning personal storms into songs of reassurance - and, as he put it in his own announcement, a reminder that listeners are already more loved than they know.
