Central City Productions has announced the first wave of performers and special honorees for the 41st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, set to be hosted once again by 19-time GRAMMY winner Kirk Franklin.
Presented under the theme "Feels Like Home," this year's ceremony will honor Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Pastor Mike Jr. with special career honors, celebrating their impact on contemporary gospel music. The show will feature performances from a lineup that includes Aaron Cole, Childlike CiCi, Darrel Walls, Kierra Sheard, Jekalyn Carr, Jevon Dewand & The Trap Starz featuring Isaac Carree and Jazze Pha, JustCordell, and John P. Kee.
The ceremony will be taped Saturday, August 15, at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. A Pre-Show and Gospel Radio Awards event, featuring additional performances and non-televised award presentations, will take place the night before at the Carolina Theatre.
"As we celebrate the 41st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, we are reminded that gospel music continues to be one of the most powerful forces for inspiration, healing, and hope in our communities," said Don Jackson, founder of the Stellar Awards and chairman of Central City Productions.
The broadcast will premiere on The Stellar Network on August 29, followed by its national cable premiere on BET on August 30, before rolling out through broadcast syndication in September. Tickets for both the main ceremony and the pre-show are available now at StellarAwards.com.
