Nancy Guthrie remains missing, and there is no new break in the case today, according to the latest reports. The 84-year-old mother of "Today" co-anchor Savannah Guthrie was last seen on the evening of Jan. 31 at her Tucson, Arizona, home. The Pima County Sheriff's Department and the FBI say the investigation is active, and no suspect has been named, Men's Journal reported.
The skull fragment. Oro Valley police said a possible human skull fragment was found Oct. 7 in a wash near Vistoso Park. The Pima County Medical Examiner's Office has it. No findings have been released, and authorities have not linked it to Guthrie.
The ransom emails. Former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer said she received four bitcoin ransom emails. The FBI told her the bitcoin address did not match notes investigators consider potentially legitimate. The sheriff's department has said recent ransom messages are not credible and has urged the public not to send money.
Unrelated cases. A sheriff's spokesperson said the Sept. 30 arrest of a man once briefly detained in the case is unrelated. The Vail death investigation announced Oct. 9 is also separate.
Savannah Guthrie is expected back on "Today" Tuesday after missing Monday's show, according to reports.
The Guthrie family continues to ask for prayers. JubileeCast joins them in praying for Nancy's safe return.
