Joey Graziadei is bringing his leading-man charm to Christmas movies-and his latest romantic challenge comes with emergency sirens. The former Bachelor star takes his first leading film role opposite Jamie Chung in The Holiday Spark, premiering November 2 on The Roku Channel. PEOPLE's exclusive trailer preview introduces a festive courtship with a complication: falling in love is easier than finding time to stay on a date.
Graziadei plays Dean, a single firefighter who recruits children's book illustrator Laura, played by Chung, to help organize his firehouse's holiday party. Their preparations open the possibility of romance, but Dean's dedication to his job threatens to leave Laura wondering where she stands. The preview mixes flirtation and Christmas-tree shopping with a dinner interrupted by his concern about sirens.
"Getting to be part of a Christmas movie has been such a fun and special experience," Graziadei told PEOPLE. He also expressed hope that the film would become a returning holiday favorite for viewers.
The role extends a television career that has already taken him from The Bachelorette to The Bachelor and a season 33 victory on Dancing with the Stars. It follows a cameo on 9-1-1, making this a move into a leading fictional character rather than his first experience acting on television.
For viewers familiar with Graziadei's reality-TV romances, the attraction is clear: a recognizable personality stepping into the comforting world of a holiday rom-com. His character's dilemma gives the seasonal courtship a relatable question-how do you show someone they matter when your responsibilities keep pulling you elsewhere?
Roku previously announced that The Holiday Spark would be available to stream free on The Roku Channel. With the trailer now offering a first look at Dean and Laura's connection, the countdown begins to Graziadei's next screen romance.
