RJ Mitte's former girlfriend Saint Sasha is remembering the man behind the Breaking Bad fame with a deeply personal tribute. Sharing photographs from their relationship, the photographer reflected on her first experience of love-and the lasting confidence she says Mitte gave her.
"I fell in love for the first time when I was 18," Sasha wrote on Instagram. She described Mitte as a partner who treated her with care, encouraged her ambitions and helped her feel capable of taking on the world. Her message also revealed that their connection continued as a friendship after their romance ended.
The photographs accompanied a farewell filled with disbelief and gratitude. Sasha remembered his kindness and explained that neither their relationship nor the way he made her feel could ever be forgotten. "Thank you for everything, endlessly, RJ. I love you, homie," she concluded.
Mitte died on October 12 in Brownsville, Texas, at age 34. His publicist confirmed that he died by suicide. Best known for playing Walter White Jr. opposite Bryan Cranston, Mitte also used his visibility to advocate for people with disabilities, drawing on his own experience of living with cerebral palsy.
Sasha's tribute adds an intimate perspective to the remembrances arriving from his colleagues. Bob Odenkirk recalled Mitte's empathy and dedication to helping others, while fellow Breaking Bad cast members have mourned the loss of a young actor whose warmth extended beyond the television set.
For viewers, Mitte remains part of one of television's most celebrated dramas. For Sasha, her farewell centers on a more private legacy: the encouragement, affection and friendship of someone who helped shape her understanding of love.
