Kid Rock says he wants to take his new Christian music to arenas and stadiums as "Saturday night revivals."
The rocker made the comments about Halfway 2 Jesus, released Oct. 17, describing a concert that blends a big rock show with worship of Jesus.
Kid Rock said he made the songs he wanted to hear at church. He pictures fans drinking beer, having a good time and celebrating Jesus, and says he believes it could do real good. He also pushed back on the idea that the album marks a spiritual conversion, saying he has always felt right with God.
The 17-song project centers on second chances and forgiveness. It features Eminem and Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox. It also carries a parental advisory label, so parents may want to preview it first.
Reports so far do not list arena or stadium dates, so fans should watch his official channels.
