Country legend Terri Clark says she is thrilled by Ella Langley's historic run, but she "would not want to trade places with her." Clark shared her thoughts with OutKick OutDoors as Langley's "Choosin' Texas" logged a record-extending 25th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Clark, a Grand Ole Opry member known for 1990s hits like "Better Things to Do," said she is glad a woman is the one breaking records. She praised Langley's album Dandelion and said the young star seems like a genuinely good person. But she added that this level of fame can be both a gift and a burden, and that it takes work to handle both sides. Clark noted that she can still run errands in a ball cap, something Langley may now be losing.

The 25 weeks are not consecutive. According to Billboard, this is the song's seventh separate stay at No. 1. It passed Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" in September to claim the all-time record for most weeks atop the chart.

Langley has been open about what keeps her grounded. She grew up in a small Southern Baptist church in Alabama and learned to read by singing from hymnals. At this year's ACM Awards, she said, "Thank you, Jesus, for letting me do this for a living." On Easter, she posted a video of herself singing "Because He Lives."

For fans, both women's words point to the same lesson: success can be a blessing, but gratitude and faith are what keep a person steady.
