Nick Jonas credited former Disney CEO Bob Iger for helping the Jonas Brothers launch their careers and later reunite. He made the remarks at a New York tribute gala. The singer, 34, used a day off from the band's Burning Up Tour All Over Again to honor Iger at the PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala on Oct. 27.

Jonas credited Iger with turning the brothers into Disney Channel stars. He said Iger was "among the first to reach out" when the band reunited in 2019 after a six-year hiatus. Speaking for brothers Joe and Kevin, Jonas said Iger believed in the group before it fully believed in itself.

Jonas said the story came full circle this summer, when the three brothers were named Disney Legends alongside Iger, who stepped away as CEO in March.

Jonas has also been in the spotlight for his music with Christian artist Brandon Lake. Their single "The Author" was released May 1. Written at a songwriting camp in late 2025, it explores identity, self-worth and surrender, and trusting God with one's life. The song's lyrics recall Jonas's younger days singing in church. Jonas grew up as a pastor's son. The pair debuted it live the night it came out at Lake's concert in Charleston, South Carolina.
