The upcoming Velocity 2X game is a sequel to the well received Velocity Ultra that came for the Vita and PlayStation 3 platforms last year. Initially it looks like a blast from the past, but it is going to play like anything but that description. According to the developers, it is going to incorporate more substance than style. Velocity 2X is going to add 60 frames per second game play, and incorporate boss fights as well as more time challenges and shinier graphics this time round.

In fact, Futurlab has been so bold as to call it the game of the year. At the moment, there is no price tag which has been set for Velocity 2X. However, suggestions are also welcome from the market at all times. This game is going to feature 50 campaign levels as well as 25 bonus missions. Futurlab illustrated using the trailer of the upcoming game, saying "Velocity 2X pushes the Vita hardware to achieve all these visual effects at 60fps." Truth be told, they do have a point. The titles 'Game of the year, 'Best in Class for the audio, graphics and game-play as well as production value'  are leading points for the game. Apparently, the layers of depth and complexity in terms of the game play are quite vast considering the competition within the shooter genre.
