Switchfoot is Heading to the Big Screen
Switchfoot has a new full-length album set to release on January 14, 2014 but in the meantime, they're giving fans a taste of what is to come with a 3-song EP titled Fading West (ep) that released in mid-September. The award-winning rockers have also been busy working on a feature film, also titled Fading West. The part rock documentary, part surf film, and part travel film gives viewers a glimpse into the lives of the band members at work and at play. From the bright lights of the stage to the even brighter light of the sun as they surf, Fading West shares it all. Join the band during the larger than life moments of playing music for thousands of fans as well as during the quiet moments on the edge of the ocean, finding inspiration as they get closer to God. This all from a band that has crossed the "mainstream" boundary so many times, they've lost count, selling nearly 6 million albums in the process.
Fans can see the film at the beginning of the band's concerts during the Fading West tour, which runs until November 24, 2013.
