iPad Air 2 in Apple Event this October 2014, Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says New iPad Air Brings "Significant Spec Upgrades"

Based on KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's notes, iPad Air 2 should show up during an Apple event, perhaps in October, as other iPad products were usually introduced in such an event. Kuo stated that the new iPad Air 2 "will see significant spec upgrades", making it the best tablet in the present market.

Kuo believes that the new iPad Air will come with an anti-reflective screen coating, a full-lamination touch panel, a new gold-colored metal casing, an 8-megapixel camera and a more powerful A8 processor. Kuo is also expecting that the iPad Air 2 will have the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, newly introduced in iPhone 5s, and the front camera to change to a 1.5 megapixel lens.

What this means is this: the new iPad Air 2 will have better performance, graphics and energy use, thanks to the new A8 CPU. The new iPad Air 2 users could also expect a better mobile computing, stability and security.

The iPad Air 2 is expected to be a 9.7 inch tablet, its forms similar to the original iPad Air, but with 2GB RAM boost, Touch ID home button (as in iPhone 5s) and a split-screen capability. It might even be slimmer than the previous iPad Air.

If the iPad Air 2 shows up in Apple's October event, the new iPad Air should be released in the beginning of November this year. The first iPad Air release date was around that time last year.
