The Hunger Games Mockingjay Trailer Released, gives first glimpse of what's in store for Katniss Everdeen; Pop Star Lorde to Contribute in the Soundtrack
The Hunger Games Mockingjay news: To heighten anticipation for the release of the movie's first part this November, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay trailer has been released by Lionsgate, giving fans of the hugely successful franchise a preview of what's in store for their favorite heroine, Katniss Everdeen.
"I never wanted any of this," said Katniss, played by in the trailer's opening sequence.
"I just wanted to save my sister and keep Peeta alive."
"Miss Everdeen, it's the things we love most that destroy us," replied President Coriolanus Snow, setting the story in motion.
In The Hunger Games Mockingjay, Katniss, who is played by Jennifer Lawrence, leads District 13 in waging a rebellion against The Capital.
Katniss and Gale Hawthorne, played by Liam Hemsworth, are also on mission to rescue the kidnapped Peeta Mellark, played by Josh Hutcherson.
The Hunger Games Mockingjay cast also includes Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Natalie Dormer as Cressida, Donald Sutherland as President Coriolanus Snow, and Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin.
The Hunger Games movies are based on the best-selling novels of the same name by Suzanne Collins.
Pop superstar Lorde was tasked to contribute a song to, as well as curate, the film's haunting soundtrack.
