Jessica Jones Reveals and Reviews, Updates, Rumors, Updates and Plot: New Show Coming to Netflix Next Year
It seems like Marvel is on some sort of relentless campaign to make people join their side by force. Unlike DC Comics, Marvel in collaboration with Disney and now Netflix are pumping out movies and series at what now seems an alarming rate. There are several animations and series on mainstream television from the Marvel Universe in comparison to DC Comic's Flash, Gotham and Constantine. On the Movie front for every movie DC announces it seems like Marvel announces five. If this was a race DC would come in last place limping and barely alive. Taking the game to another level is the deal that Netflix and Marvel have signed to produce five superhero series' that will culminate in a mini series titled The Defenders.
The beauty of this deal is that Marvel is reviving long forgotten super heroes like Iron Fist and the lesser known ones like Daredevil. One of the shows in this deal Jessica Jones; the comic created by Brian Michael (who also worked on Spiderman) and Michael Gaydos . Jessica Jones first showed up in the Marvel series Alias which has nothing to do with the show that had Jennifer Garner in it. Jessica is actually Peter Parker's classmate and was present when he was bitten by the spider. Sometime later she loses her whole family in an accident with a military convoy and gets exposed to radioactive material. This exposure gives her super strength, flight and limited vulnerability.
The show is coming to Netflix sometime in the year 2015. Other shows in the deal like Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist are also expected around that time so it will be a whole Marvel block. Since every series and movie in the Marvel Universe right now is intertwined and leading to the next Avengers movie we are making an educated guess that the Netflix series shall also stay true to the Universe. Fans and Skeptics alike are looking forward to seeing how big the Marvel Universe can go.
