Adele could be preparing to release her fifth studio album without warning. A new report attributed to the Daily Mail claims the singer has completed a project she has quietly worked on since 2022, raising the possibility of new music arriving before the end of 2026. Adele has not confirmed the reported release plans.
"I hear that it is done," an unnamed senior music industry source reportedly told the newspaper. The report suggests Adele could release the entire album overnight, potentially as soon as November, following the surprise-release approach associated with Beyoncé's self-titled 2013 album.
The project could reportedly be called 39, with songs exploring the pressures of fame and Adele's connection to her London roots. Neither the title nor those themes have been officially confirmed. Earlier reporting suggested a possible summer 2027 release, leaving the timing uncertain.
A surprise arrival would mark a different approach from the extensive promotional campaign surrounding 30. Released in November 2021, that album explored divorce, motherhood and personal change, with "Easy On Me" introducing listeners to its deeply personal material.
The latest report also raises the possibility of a handful of large UK performances next summer. It claims venues have been placed on hold while Adele considers engagements that would fit around family life and her commitments to son Angelo. No dates or ticket sales have been announced.
There is also conflicting reporting about the recording process. Although earlier stories linked Adele to sessions with longtime collaborator Paul Epworth, The Times reports that her management has denied those claims. That denial concerns the reported recording collaboration and does not establish whether another album is ready.
For now, Adele's official website continues to feature 19, 21, 25 and 30, with no fifth album announcement. The prospect of an overnight return is generating fresh anticipation, but the release date, title and live plans remain unconfirmed.
