Grey's Anatomy Producer Reveals Season 11: On Carrie and Arizona's Relationship
Sonda Rhimes, executive producer of 'Grey's Anatomy' took to Entertainment Weekly to talk about the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season11.
It cannot be denied that relationships in this show are no less than a rollercoaster ride. The producer talked about the two ongoing relationships in the show as to whether or not they would survive. One is between Callie and Arizona, and the other between Derek and Meredith. She said that these are the other big storyline of the season and that they have spent a substantial amount of time in the writer's room just to map and talk about these stories. But the focus of the coming season is the one between Carrie and Arizona. When asked how this relationship would fare, Rhimes was honest to say that as of the moment that "there is a 50/50 chance that they'll be together or apart."
Ultimately the producer claimed that what she wants is the best for both Callie and Arizona. Both of them have had their own share of tragedies, and for these tragedies to be reason enough for them to stay together is still something that is up in the air. Sonda Rhimes was optimistic to say that these reasons may not have worked for Owen and Cristina, but it could work for them.
Different possibilities are being explored for these two relationships. This is because for her the journey of both Meredith and Callie are very important in the season. The production team is mapping out the best journey for them. This is something that fans of both couples can be excited about.
Another story that fans could be excited about is Meredith's relationship towards her half-sister Maggie. In the promotional video, it can be seen that the sisters are starting their relationship in a very bad manner. The video shows the two having intense dialogue regarding their professionalism. In the end Meredith just blurted out that Maggie does not have to worry about her (Meredith) not liking her (Maggie).
Stay tuned and find out how things would unfold for these relationships. The premiere episode for 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 11 will hit televisions on Sept. 25 at 8pm ET on ABC.
