A bold and timely new docudrama is set to ignite conversations across the global Church as That They May Be One arrives in cinemas nationwide for a special two-day theatrical event on May 19-20, 2026. Presented by Flourish Your Faith Films and distributed by Fathom Entertainment, the film delivers a powerful cinematic call for unity at a moment when division often defines the cultural and spiritual landscape.
Drawing inspiration from Jesus' prayer in John 17:21-"that they may all be one"-this visually rich and emotionally stirring film goes beyond conversation and into encounter. That They May Be One fuses compelling, real-life interviews with gripping dramatic reenactments, immersing audiences in pivotal moments of Church history while spotlighting the urgent need for reconciliation today.
Featuring a diverse lineup of influential Christian voices-including Fr. Mathias Thelen, Pastor James Ward, and evangelist Francis Chan-the film refuses to settle for surface-level dialogue. Instead, it challenges believers across traditions to confront division, rediscover shared identity in Christ, and step into a Spirit-led movement of unity. Catholic biblical scholar Dr. Mary Healy, who also serves as a producer, anchors the film with rich theological insight and a passionate vision for healing the Church.
"This film is not just something to watch-it's something to respond to," said Healy. "Jesus prayed for unity on the night before His death. That prayer still echoes today, and we believe audiences will feel both the weight and the hope of it as they experience this film together."
More than a historical reflection, That They May Be One is a forward-looking invitation-calling Christians to prayer, repentance, and renewed mission. It highlights both the fractures that have shaped Church history and the growing, Spirit-driven efforts toward restoration, offering a hopeful vision of what could happen when believers choose unity over division.
Tickets go on sale April 10 through Fathom Entertainment and participating theatre box offices. With limited screenings nationwide, early registration is strongly encouraged.
