PLATINUM-certified and GRAMMY-nominated artist Anne Wilson delivered a career-defining performance on April 1, singing the national anthem for NASA's Artemis II mission launch at Kennedy Space Center-marking the agency's first crewed mission to the moon in more than 50 years.

The Artemis II mission will send four astronauts on a near 10-day journey around the moon, traveling farther from Earth than any human has in over half a century. Wilson's powerful rendition of the national anthem served as a moving opening to the historic moment.

For Wilson, the opportunity represented more than a milestone performance-it was deeply personal. Before her rise in music, she once dreamed of becoming an astronaut, inspired by a lifelong fascination with space. However, after the tragic loss of her brother Jacob, her path shifted, ultimately leading her into music and a faith-driven calling.

"What an incredible honor it was to sing the national anthem at the Artemis II launch," Wilson shared. "This moment feels so full circle for me... I'm just overwhelmed by God's goodness. He writes stories far greater than we could ever imagine."

That journey is reflected in her latest album, Stars, released last fall via Capitol Christian Music Group. The project explores themes of wonder, grief, and growth-anchored by the title track, where Wilson sings about once dreaming of becoming an astronaut before life took an unexpected turn.

Building on the album's success, Wilson recently released a reimagined version of "Still Do" alongside Cole Swindell, offering a fresh take on a fan-favorite track. She has also announced her upcoming third book, Rebel: Following Jesus When the World Walks the Other Way, set to release June 9, continuing her mission to inspire a generation toward bold, authentic faith.

Wilson is currently bringing her music to audiences nationwide on The STARS Tour, joined by special guest Peter Burton. With more than 2 billion career streams, a GRAMMY nomination, multiple Dove Awards, and recognition from major platforms including People, Spotify, CMT, and Billboard, she continues to establish herself as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Christian and country music.

From childhood dreams of space to standing at the forefront of one of history's most significant space missions, Anne Wilson's story is a testament to purpose, resilience, and the unexpected ways faith can shape a life
