Natalie Grant is home.

Days after emergency surgery following a serious fall, the Christian music icon returned to Nashville and shared her first update with the community that had been praying nonstop since the news broke.

Her words were simple and completely her:

"Back in Nashville and recovering... and I don't think I have words for how grateful I am. I've read so many of your messages and prayers, and I've felt every single one. There is something so powerful about the family of God. Even in the middle of something unexpected, you realize you're not alone."

Grant was injured while helping her daughter Bella move home from college. A fall on a sidewalk - one she initially brushed off - turned out to cause a bleeding kidney and a blood clot in her bladder. Emergency surgery followed. It was successful, and doctors confirmed she would make a full recovery.

The line that stopped people was this: "There is something so powerful about the family of God."

Coming from someone who just lived through something genuinely frightening, it was not a platitude. It was a testimony. Grant said she read through the messages personally and felt every prayer sent her way.

That is who she has always been - an artist who does not keep faith at arm's length, especially when things get hard.

No return-to-stage timeline has been announced. For now, she is resting, recovering, and by her own words - grateful.
