Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce just wrapped up a very public - and very telling - trip to London. And if the reports are right, it wasn't just a romantic getaway. It was wedding planning.
The couple was photographed multiple times across the city this past week - dinners, a theatre show, a birthday party with British royals - all while speculation about a July 3 New York City wedding continues to build. Neither Swift's nor Kelce's representatives have confirmed the date, but the signs are pointing in one direction.
What They Were Actually Doing in London
The week was packed. Swift and Kelce attended a performance at the Harold Pinter Theatre featuring actress Sadie Sink, one of Swift's longtime collaborators, before heading to Poppy Delevingne's 40th birthday celebration at The BoTree - where guests reportedly included Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, Georgia May Jagger, Lily James, and Isla Fisher. They also dined at the celebrated Indian restaurant Gymkhana and Gordon Ramsay's Lucky Cat, photographed hand-in-hand each time.
But the headline behind the headlines: according to The Sun, Swift and Kelce met with celebrated hotelier Andre Balazs to discuss hosting a post-wedding celebration at The Chiltern Firehouse - a celebrity-favourite London venue - for approximately 120 guests in August. An insider told the publication, "London holds a huge place in Taylor's heart. She has so many British friends who she wants to celebrate with." Potential guests reportedly include Ed Sheeran, Kate Moss, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Cara Delevingne, and Stella McCartney.
The New York ceremony, if it happens July 3, would come between the end of Swift's Eras Tour London dates and the start of Kelce's NFL preseason preparations - a tight but deliberate window.
Six Wedding Dresses and a Countdown
Reports have also emerged that Swift has commissioned six different wedding gowns, keeping her options open for a production-scale event. One source told journalist Rob Shuter, "Every option is on the table" - from one look all night to multiple changes. Kelce himself has publicly acknowledged the direction of things, saying simply: "I can't wait."
For a couple whose very public love story began in the stands of a Kansas City Chiefs game in 2023 and grew into one of the most talked-about relationships in pop culture history, the wedding - whenever it comes - will be a global moment.
And for those who believe that love, commitment, and covenant are sacred - the sight of two people choosing each other this publicly, this joyfully, is a reminder that some things in life are still worth celebrating.
Neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce's representatives have officially confirmed a wedding date or venue at the time of publishing.
