Thousands gathered at Chizhovka Arena in Minsk, Belarus, as evangelist Franklin Graham shared the Gospel in what organizers described as the largest evangelical outreach ever held in the country.
A staggering 15,500 people packed the arena to hear the message of hope centered on Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
One of the evening's most emotional moments came when Graham shared the story of a man who had planned to end his life just days earlier. After attending the event and hearing the Gospel message, the man reportedly surrendered his life to Christ and found renewed hope.
"We give God the glory," Graham wrote afterward, celebrating not only that testimony but also the hundreds of others who made decisions for Christ during the historic gathering.
The outreach represented years of prayer and preparation by Belarusian churches and pastors. Christians across the nation reportedly participated in continuous 24-hour prayer throughout the week leading up to the event, praying for spiritual renewal and revival across Belarus.
The event also showcased a remarkable display of unity among believers throughout the country. A massive 1,300-member choir-made up of singers from 43 cities and towns across Belarus-joined a full orchestra, musicians, and soloists for the evening's worship presentation. Graham praised the choir's excellence and passion, joking that he wished he could "take them home" with him.
For many observers, the gathering marked a significant moment for evangelical Christianity in Belarus, a nation where large-scale public Gospel events have historically been rare. Graham called it "the first time anything like this has ever happened in the country."
The evangelist concluded by expressing gratitude for the invitation and hope that he may one day return to Belarus again to preach the Gospel.
