Lainey Wilson walked her first red carpet as a married woman at the 2026 ACM Awards - and she wasted no time letting everyone know.
The country star and former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges exchanged vows on May 10 in a ceremony at Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee. Wilson wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown and arrived at the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage, describing it as her "absolute dream."
Less than two weeks later, she was in Las Vegas.
Wilson opened the 61st ACM Awards on Sunday, May 17, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with an energy-filled performance of her new single "Can't Sit Still." Wearing a black leather and silver fringe ensemble with a matching cowboy hat, she launched into the track against a lightning storm backdrop - with ten dancers in white cowgirl outfits joining her onstage.
Released in March, the track is about Wilson's own restless nature. "I'm like an ADHD squirrel," she said in an interview. "I'll be doing the dishes and then I'm doing something in the fridge. That's just how I've always been."
Wilson arrived at the event alongside Hodges, making their first official red carpet appearance as husband and wife - hand in hand, with big smiles. Fans on the carpet quickly noticed her new wedding band, a classic diamond-studded piece that fits perfectly alongside her multi-stone engagement ring like a puzzle.
Host Shania Twain made sure to mark the moment. Twain walked out to her 1997 hit "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" and congratulated Lainey on her recent nuptials right from the stage.
Wilson was among the night's most-nominated artists with seven nods, including Entertainer of the Year and Female Artist of the Year. Cody Johnson ultimately took home Entertainer of the Year, while Ella Langley set a record for the most wins in a single year.
Wilson has spoken openly about faith being central to her journey - from her Louisiana roots to her 14-year grind to "overnight" success. Marrying at a waterfall cave in Tennessee, surrounded by family and the music she loves, feels very much like a woman who knows where her blessings come from.
