Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Reunite to Stand by Daughter Violet After Injury

On May 26, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner showed up at the same place, at the same time, for the same reason - their daughter needed them.

The former couple were seen rushing Violet to an urgent care clinic in Los Angeles on Tuesday after the 20-year-old appeared to be struggling physically. Affleck kept one arm wrapped protectively around Violet as she leaned against him on the way inside, while Garner hurried beside them to help steady her. Later, Violet was seen leaving the clinic on crutches and wearing an orthopedic boot on her foot. 

The family has not released a statement, and the specific nature of the injury has not been disclosed. Violet is currently recovering at home. 

The last time Violet had been seen publicly before the clinic visit was May 9, when she came home to celebrate Mother's Day - photographed enjoying ice cream with Garner and her younger brother Samuel. 

Beyond her famous family, Violet has built a name of her own. She is currently a student at Yale University and has become a passionate public health advocate, delivering a speech at the United Nations in September 2025 focused on clean air access and respiratory health awareness. She has worn a face mask during most public appearances since contracting a post-viral condition in 2019 - a health journey that turned her into one of the more quietly courageous young voices in that conversation. 

Garner and Affleck, who separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce in 2018, have maintained an active and visible co-parenting relationship across the years - showing up together at school events, games, and now this. Tuesday was not a photo opportunity. It was two parents doing what parents do. 

Jennifer Garner has spoken openly in the past about how her faith anchors her approach to family - that showing up, staying present, and putting her children first is not a burden but a calling. Tuesday looked exactly like that.
