If you've been following the Freedom 250 story, you're probably asking the same question everyone else is: is this concert still actually happening?
Here's where things stand.
When we last reported on the Great American State Fair concert series, six artists had dropped from the original nine-act lineup, with most citing concerns that the event had become more divisive than what they originally agreed to. Since then, the situation has moved again.
Fab Morvan of Milli Vanilli - who had initially said he would still perform - has also pulled out, saying the event "turned into a circus" and that he was there to unite people, not divide them.
That now leaves Vanilla Ice, Flo Rida, and C+C Music Factory's Freedom Williams as the remaining confirmed performers on the concert bill. Vanilla Ice told CBS News he sees it simply as America's birthday - "Two hundred and fifty years. It's not anything to do with politics" - and confirmed he is still in.
Freedom 250 has confirmed the event will still go forward, with the opening ceremony on the National Mall set for June 24. The full Great American State Fair - which runs June 25 through July 10 and includes state pavilions, exhibits, a 110-foot Ferris wheel, and free family programming - remains on schedule.
So yes, the concert series is still happening. The lineup just looks very different than it did a week ago.
Whatever the noise surrounding it, America's 250th birthday is a once-in-a-generation milestone. Music has always had a way of bringing people together across every divide - and that remains true whoever is left on the stage.
