Broadway's most celebrated night is just around the corner - and this year's show is stacked.
The 79th Annual Tony Awards air live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 7, on CBS and Paramount+, beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. Grammy-winning pop star Pink is hosting for the first time.
"It is the honor of an entire lifetime to host a night celebrating the literal hardest-working people in showbiz," Pink said in a statement. "Broadway has shaped my life and how I put my own shows together - it is a community that is supportive and inclusive and full of talent and love."
What to Expect on Stage
The show will include performances from all four nominees for Best Musical - The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) - and all three nominees for Best Revival of a Musical: CATS: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime, and Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show.
The entire original cast of The Book of Mormon - including Tony nominees Josh Gad, Andrew Rannells, and Rory O'Malley and Tony winner Nikki M. James - will reunite on stage to celebrate the show's 15th anniversary on Broadway, with the performance introduced by Tony winners Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert Lopez.
Chicago will also celebrate 30 years on Broadway with a special tribute performance featuring Queen Latifah alongside host Pink.
The night kicks off with a massive opening number featuring over 170 Broadway performers, with Lea Michele among those taking part.
Who's Presenting
Presenters include Nicole Scherzinger, who won a Tony last year for her performance in Sunset Boulevard; Megan Thee Stallion, who made her Broadway debut this year in Moulin Rouge!; and Sting, who received a Tony nomination for Best Original Score in 2015 for The Last Ship. Additional presenters include Ariana DeBose, Neil Patrick Harris, and Kristin Chenoweth.
Top Nominations to Watch
The Lost Boys and Schmigadoon! lead all nominations this season with 12 each, including Best Musical, followed closely by Ragtime with 11 nominations.
Broadway has always been a space where faith, redemption, and the full range of human experience find their most powerful expression. This year's lineup - from Ragtime, which wrestles with dignity and justice in early American history, to a Book of Mormon reunion marking 15 years on Broadway - makes the 79th Tonys one of the most compelling in recent memory.
The 79th Annual Tony Awards air Sunday, June 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
