The 2026 Las Culturistas Culture Awards aired on Bravo and Peacock on June 17, and one performance stood out above the rest, Mandy Moore stepping onstage in a white Hellenic gown to sing "Only Hope," the beloved song from the 2002 faith-centered film A Walk to Remember.

The moment built slowly. Hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers opened the number themselves, with Rogers melodramatically singing over the piano melody before Yang joined in, yodeling into the upper register.

The audience waved phone flashlights as a couple danced onstage beside them - then Moore was introduced.

Moore recorded "Only Hope," originally a Switchfoot track, for the A Walk to Remember soundtrack, and the song later appeared on The Best of Mandy Moore in 2004.

For many in the audience, it wasn't just a performance, it was a return to a song tied to one of the most openly Christian mainstream films of its generation.

Moore's performance received some of the loudest applause of the night, alongside Rachel Zegler's rendition of Addison Rae's "Fame Is a Gun."

The fifth annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards, a lovingly absurdist spoof of the entertainment industry's awards obsession, featuring 100 categories, also honored RuPaul as Artist of the Millennium, Lisa Kudrow with the Legend Award, and Ciara Miller with the Allison Williams Cool Girl Award.

The special is now streaming on Peacock.

"Only Hope" was never just a pop song. Written by Switchfoot's Jon Foreman, it was a prayer set to melody - and Mandy Moore's performance reminded a room full of pop culture fans exactly where it came from.
