Something significant happened on New Music Friday - and worship fans are already taking notice.
Maverick City Music released "Holy" on June 26, 2026, featuring Dante Bowe and Grace Idowu - a collaboration that carries more weight than most new releases, because of the story behind who's in the room.
Dante Bowe is back. In September 2022, Maverick City Music severed their professional relationship with Bowe, citing "behavior that is inconsistent with our core values and beliefs." Bowe went on to launch his own label, TRUE Music, describing the period as a season of feeling "hidden" and "close to God." Now, years later, he's back alongside the collective that helped shape some of the most beloved worship anthems of this generation - and they're calling the song "Holy."
The timing couldn't feel more intentional.
The song is a deeply reverent worship anthem that exalts the holiness, majesty, and glory of God, with Bowe and Idowu delivering passionate performances that complement Maverick City Music's signature worship sound.
According to the official video description, "Holy" is more than a worship song - it's a declaration of purpose.
The third voice on the track is one the global church is getting to know fast. Grace Idowu is a rising Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader born in Lagos, with over 223,000 monthly Spotify listeners. Her work has drawn recognition from global worship leaders including Brandon Lake, Chandler Moore, CeCe Winans, and Maverick City Music itself. Her presence on "Holy" signals that Maverick City's reach - and vision - continues to expand beyond borders.
A full Holy album is listed as coming soon via Maverick City Music. For now, the single stands on its own as a moment worth sitting with - a reunion, a declaration, and a reminder that in God's economy, nothing that's truly holy ever stays buried for long.
"Holy" is available now on all major streaming platforms.
