Sight & Sound Theatres' larger-than-life biblical stage musicals are leaving the theater and heading to your living room. Wonder Project, the faith-based streaming channel behind the hit series "House of David," has struck a deal to bring the productions to Prime Video starting July 30.
The rollout will include filmed versions of Sight & Sound's stage productions covering Jesus, Ruth, Moses, Noah, Esther, David, Samson, Daniel, and the Nativity, with a new title dropping roughly every two weeks. Several of these productions previously played in theaters as special Fathom Events screenings, drawing sold-out crowds eager to see the Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based theater company's signature towering sets and live animals brought to the big screen.
The deal also includes bonus features and a documentary on Sight & Sound itself, giving longtime fans a behind-the-scenes look at how the 45-year-old ministry builds its massive productions. It's the latest expansion for Wonder Project, which launched on Prime Video to house "House of David" and has since added titles like "The Old Stories: Moses" and the film "A Great Awakening."
For those outside the U.S. without access to Wonder Project, Sight & Sound's musicals remain available for individual rental or monthly subscription through the company's own streaming platform.
The move signals a broader shift for faith-based entertainment: stage productions that once required a trip to Lancaster or a limited theatrical window are becoming permanent, on-demand fixtures for households anywhere. With "Joshua," Sight & Sound's newest stage production, already announced for its own theatrical release this October, the streaming library is set to keep growing well beyond its July 30 launch.
