Nationally recognized Christian recording artist Maria Jacobs has released her new single, "My God Is Here," to Christian radio, building on the momentum of her previous chart-topping hit, "We Are Lifted Up," which reached No. 1 on the Christian Radio Chart in May 2026.
The song is featured on Jacobs' acclaimed album Perfect Is Your Will and was written by the artist herself. Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Pete Tokar, the track blends Inspirational and Christian Soft AC styles while delivering a reassuring message about God's constant presence during life's most difficult moments.
Inspired by Jacobs' own experiences with grief, fear, and personal struggles, "My God Is Here" reminds listeners that hope and peace can be found in the assurance that God never leaves His people. Its lyrics emphasize that God's presence brings comfort, lifts burdens, and replaces fear with lasting peace.
Born to Syrian Lebanese and Armenian parents, Jacobs began her career in Cleveland before spending more than a decade recording and performing in Los Angeles alongside respected musicians, including Tommy Coster, Alphonso Johnson, and the late Ndugu Chancellor. She later returned to Ohio, where she partnered with Pete Tokar to record several projects, including her first full-length Christian album.
Beyond Christian music, Jacobs has also earned recognition in the jazz world, with multiple charting releases and Grammy consideration for both her jazz and Christian albums. She is also a voting member of the Recording Academy (NARAS) and serves as Vocal Jazz Professor at Kent State University.
