Tehillah Music Group has announced the signing of acclaimed gospel vocalist Courtney Franklin as the newest artist on its growing roster, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the singer's decades-long ministry and music career.

Often referred to as "The Ad Lib King," Franklin is recognized for his powerful vocals, energetic stage presence, and passion for ministry. The Atlanta-based label says the partnership will provide a platform for Franklin to further develop his artistry, with new music scheduled for release in early 2027.

Tehillah Music Group President Jerry Parries praised the signing, saying Franklin has spent years supporting other gospel artists and believes the time is right for him to step into the spotlight as a solo artist.

Throughout his career, Franklin has collaborated with many of gospel music's most respected names, including:

  • Kirk Franklin
  • Yolanda Adams
  • Mary Mary
  • Kurt Carr
  • Kim Burrell
  • James Fortune and FIYA

Many fans first became familiar with Franklin through the 1990s hit "I Believe," which he performed with Lisa Page Brooks. The success of that song helped pave the way for his debut album, Time, released in 2002.

Beyond music, Franklin serves as Founder and Senior Pastor of The Power Spot Church in Memphis, Tennessee, where he ministers alongside his wife, First Lady Kanesha Franklin.

Tehillah Music Group says Franklin's signing reflects its commitment to developing artists who combine musical excellence with a heart for ministry. Fans can expect additional announcements as work continues on his upcoming music, with his next project slated for release in 2027.
