Fans who followed her outside of reruns and reunion specials knew a different side of "Penny Lane" and "Lieutenant Fondue." On TikTok and Instagram, Knowings regularly posted faith content mixed in with her comedy bits, at one point sharing a video from a church service she attended while on vacation in Hawaii. "Messed up, chaotic, imperfect, and still loving Jesus like crazy," she wrote, poking fun at the idea that a "cornstar" - the affectionate nickname "All That" fans gave the cast - would spend a beach vacation in a pew.

It tracked with the arc of her life. She later reunited with her twin brother, Chris Knowings, for three "Sesame Street" appearances, and in 2020 released a folk single, "To the World" - a title fans are now revisiting for its double meaning.
Following her death at 46 after an asthma attack, tributes from Thompson and others have focused on her comedic legacy.
