Tasha Owens Says Charlie Kirk’s Death Must Become A Christian Call To Action In New Tribute Song

Christian singer Tasha Owens is turning heartbreak into a rallying cry with her new song, "We Miss You, Charlie," a deeply personal tribute to the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Owens says countless people continue to miss Kirk's voice, courage and willingness to defend his convictions-even when taking a public stand came at a cost. Yet she does not want her song to leave listeners trapped in sorrow.

"As Christians, we grieve with hope," Owens explained, revealing that her greater desire is to see grief become courage-and courage become action.

One of the song's most striking lines declares, "Truth is stronger than your fear." According to Owens, those words capture the heart of Kirk's legacy: his Christian faith shaped his public life, his worldview and his determination to influence the next generation.

But Owens insists that merely praising Kirk is not enough.

"Legacy is more than what we say about someone after they're gone," she said. "It's what we do differently because they lived."

Her message then becomes a bold challenge to believers: "Charlie, we miss you. But we heard you." Owens is calling Christians to carry the torch by standing openly for their faith, freedom and truth while giving younger people the courage to do the same.

"We Miss You, Charlie" and its accompanying music video are available now on iTunes. Real America's Music is donating proceeds from the release to Turning Point USA and Turning Point Action, helping continue the work to which Kirk devoted his life.

This may be a song born from grief, but Owens clearly wants it to produce something louder: a generation of Christians no longer afraid to stand.
