U2 has announced a 2027 stadium tour, "Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth," marking the band's first stadium shows since 2019.
Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. will open in Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros on Feb. 23 and 26, 2027, with Beck as support. The tour then moves to São Paulo's Estádio MorumBIS on March 10 and 12, and Buenos Aires' Estadio River Plate on March 23 and 25. Those are the only Latin American cities on next year's itinerary. European and North American dates will be announced in the coming weeks, and an Irish homecoming is being planned.
Fans can sign up for the U2.com Subscriber Presale, which begins Monday, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. local time. Further presales are planned, with the general sale through Ticketmaster expected later in the week.
The tour supports Carnaval De Luz, the band's 16th studio album and its first collection of new songs in nine years, due Nov. 13. U2 also released the album's third single, "The Greatest Show On Earth," co-written with Brian Eno and paired with a video directed by Anton Corbijn.
The tour follows the band's 40-show Sphere residency in Las Vegas and is the first stadium run since The Joshua Tree Tour ended in Mumbai in December 2019.
U2 has long been known for songs shaped by faith, including "40," which is based on Psalm 40, and Bono has spoken openly about his Christian faith.
For many fans, that spiritual searching remains part of what makes a U2 show more than a concert.
