Jay-Z says he is not feeling any pressure. When TMZ asked about headlining Super Bowl LXI in New York City on Oct. 27, the 56-year-old rapper smiled and said, "There's no pressure involved."

Asked how he plans to prepare for the show, he said he would do it the same way he always does.

Why it matters: the NFL and Roc Nation confirmed on Oct. 26 that Jay-Z will headline the halftime show on Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. His company has helped select and produce the show since 2019, so this is his first time performing on it himself. The news drew mixed reactions online, and some fans questioned his role in choosing the headliner.

What we know so far:

  • Date and venue: Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium.
  • Producers: Roc Nation is executive producing, with Hamish Hamilton directing.
  • Guests: none have been confirmed.
  • Setlist: not announced.

Jay-Z has said the road to the stage has been a "journey" since his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. Roc Nation's halftime era has also made room for gospel. Yolanda Adams sang "America the Beautiful" at Super Bowl LIV in 2020, a show Jay-Z co-produced.
