New ‘Angry Birds Movie 3’ Trailer Shows Red as a Dad and Features Psalm West’s Voice-Acting Debut

Red has spent two movies getting into trouble. In The Angry Birds Movie 3, he has three children to keep out of it. Paramount Pictures' new trailer brings back Jason Sudeikis as the short-tempered bird and Rachel Bloom as Silver, who must juggle life with three kids as a new threat puts their island home in danger.

Psalm West, the seven-year-old son of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, makes his voice-acting debut as Olly, the youngest hatchling in the family. Walker Scobell, best known for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, plays Glider, while Wednesday star Emma Myers voices June. The family also has a pet spider named Fuzzy, voiced by Saturday Night Live cast member James Austin Johnson.

Much of the trailer's comedy comes from Red trying to keep up with children at different ages. He has a home to babyproof for Olly and older kids who are increasingly capable of finding him embarrassing. Myers told PEOPLE that the movie follows the family through the challenges of raising a baby, a middle schooler and a high schooler. When danger reaches the island, the same family that can barely get through an ordinary day has to figure out how to work together.

Josh Gad and Danny McBride reprise their roles as Chuck and Bomb, two of Red's companions from the earlier films. The voice cast also includes Keke Palmer, Lily James, Tim Robinson, Marcello Hernández, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Nikki Glaser. John Rice directs from a screenplay by Thurop Van Orman, who co-directed The Angry Birds Movie 2. DNEG Animation handled the animation.

The third film based on Rovio's mobile game comes seven years after the previous installment. Paramount has scheduled The Angry Birds Movie 3 for a December 23, 2026, release in U.S. theaters. In Australia, HOYTS lists the film for Boxing Day, December 26.
