Marcel Johnson spent more than a year telling his followers what it was like to live with stage 4 stomach cancer. After the TikTok creator died on Monday, Nov. 2, his wife, Taylor Johnson, told them about one wish she had been able to honor. He wanted to spend his final moments at home, and she was with him when he died. He was 32.

"I lost a whole entire half of me," Taylor wrote on Instagram. "He fought so hard for so long." She said Marcel had been exhausted and in pain. The day before he died, he told her he was ready to go. In a separate TikTok video, Taylor thanked the followers who had supported them and said she believed Marcel would have wanted her to tell the people who had followed his illness.

Before his diagnosis in August 2025, Johnson posted videos about his everyday life. He and Taylor also ran Lil Daddy's Cheesecakes in Mount Clemens, Michigan, a business whose name was inspired by one of their sons. After the diagnosis, his updates increasingly showed what treatment demanded of him. He shared videos from chemotherapy and told followers in September 2026 that he had become too weak to continue after 25 rounds. In October, he traveled with Taylor to City of Hope in California to seek further medical advice. He later returned home and entered hospice care.

Johnson's final social media post, shared Oct. 25, was a photo of him smiling at home beside one of his sons. When Taylor announced his death, she shared photographs of their life together, including pictures with their children. She wrote that she kept expecting to wake up and find him beside her.

Johnson is survived by Taylor and their five sons. A GoFundMe campaign originally set up to help with his medical expenses is now raising money for Taylor and the boys.
