The autobiographical anthem by Fred Jerkins featuring Lowell Pye, "Patiently Praising," marks the year 2021's first #1 Billboard Gospel National Airplay single and the first-ever of Pye's 30+ year career. The single reached #1 on the Billboard Gospel Indicator Chart on March 28, 2020. "Patiently Praising" is featured on the chart-topping album, A Project of Healing, by GRAMMY winner Fred Jerkins.

Detroit native, Lowell Pye's signature tenor vocals were first heard as a member of John P. Kee's V.I.P. Choir. In 1991, Pye was featured as the lead in Kee's "Jesus Is Real." In 1996, he joined Stellar Award-winning group, Men of Standard, the group is best known for hit singles, "In Your Will," "Winter," "I Will" and "Surrounded."
Written by Alvin Garret and produced by Fred Jerkins, "Patiently Praising" marks the second #1 single lifted from Fred Jerkins' cancer awareness project, A Project of Healing. The project's first #1 single, "Victory" was led by Bermuda based duo Last Call (Adrian Jones and Tricay Astwood). A Project of Healing, encompasses fourteen songs of faith, hope and victory to help those who have been impacted by the disease Cancer.
