Cory Asbury Returns with his First New Single in Three Years
GRAMMY Award Nominee Cory Asbury has released new music for the first time in three years via BEC Recordings. His new track, "Kind," speaks directly to the human experience and the vulnerability that comes from truly living. It is a natural progression for Asbury, who has already made a name for himself for his raw and cutting lyrics that dive headfirst into the spaces of life that many in his industry shy away from.
Asbury is best known for his seminal album Reckless Love, a 2018 project that landed on the top of the Billboard Christian Albums chart, leading Asbury to two Dove Awards and a 2019 Grammy nomination. The title track spent 18 weeks at #1, earning Asbury Billboard, ASCAP, and BMI Christian Song of the Year honors.
"'Kind' grapples with what it means to truly be human," shares Asbury. "Loss, failure, and grace are what make life painfully beautiful. All the ups and downs create a way for forgiveness and healing. A sort of winding path to kindness. I hope this message resonates with others who may be battling their own struggles, and I pray they find comfort knowing they are not alone."
