Veteran singer‑songwriter Ginny Owens is stepping into a new creative season with a string of intimate live shows and the February release of her long‑awaited EP Different Kind of Water.
Owens, known for heartfelt Contemporary Christian music over more than two decades, will preview songs from her new project during two special performances this winter. First, she'll take the stage at Moshava Art in New York City's Greenwich Village on February 6, followed by a show at the Museum of Christian & Gospel Music in Nashville on February 10.
Different Kind of Water is Owens' first new collection in three years, featuring five tracks that explore themes of longing, hope, forgiveness, and spiritual depth. The EP - produced by Kyle Schonewill and co‑written with collaborators including Tyrus Morgan and Michael Farren - is set to release February 20, 2026 across streaming platforms.
Fans have already heard the first single, the piano‑centered "God Will Meet You There," which Owens describes as a song that sits with disappointment rather than smoothing it over - a hallmark of the project's honest and reflective tone.
In addition to the music, Owens is offering a softcover journal companion tied to the EP, featuring lyrics, song stories, reflection prompts, and a special CD - a thoughtful way for listeners to engage more deeply with the themes she explores.
For longtime fans and new listeners alike, this moment marks a compelling chapter in Owens' journey of blending faith with artistic expression - one that invites listeners to reflect, connect, and dive into "a different kind of water."
