Pop superstar Gwen Stefani is opening up about the role faith and prayer played in what she describes as a "miracle" pregnancy that brought her youngest son into the world.
In a recent conversation on the Hallow prayer platform with Catholic speaker Jeff Cavins, the Grammy-winning singer shared how a difficult season in her life deepened her spiritual journey and led to an unexpected blessing. At the time, Stefani already had two sons and believed she was too old to have another child.
However, her eldest son, Kingston, began praying consistently for a baby brother. According to Stefani, she had not encouraged him to pray for this, but she was moved by his persistence and faith.
Just weeks later, Stefani discovered she was pregnant. She later gave birth to her third son, Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale, at the age of 44-an experience she describes as nothing short of miraculous.
Stefani, who shares her three sons-Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo-with her former husband Gavin Rossdale, said the moment became a turning point in her relationship with God. Raised in a Catholic household, she explained that the experience inspired her to become more open about her faith and more intentional in seeking a deeper spiritual life.
The singer has spoken candidly in recent years about how motherhood and faith continue to shape her life and priorities. She is now married to country music star Blake Shelton, whom she wed in 2021.
Stefani says the experience of welcoming Apollo strengthened her belief in God's timing and reminded her that prayer-especially the simple prayers of a child-can have profound impact.
As she reflects on that moment, Stefani continues to encourage others to remain open to faith and to trust in God's work even during uncertain seasons.
