Franklin Graham is set to deliver a nationally televised Easter message titled "What is Truth?" on Resurrection Sunday, following renewed attention after Donald Trump shared a personal letter Graham wrote explaining the gospel.

The 30-minute special will air April 5 on the CBN News channel at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 10 p.m. ET. The program will feature Graham's message of salvation alongside worship music from Michael W. Smith, as well as archival performances from Johnny Cash and Charlie Daniels.

The broadcast comes just days after Trump posted Graham's letter-originally written in October-addressing the question of eternal life. Graham said he felt compelled to respond after the president publicly remarked about uncertainty regarding heaven.

"This letter was written... after President Trump had made a comment... about not knowing if he would make it to heaven," Graham explained. "I wanted him to know what the Bible says and that he could be sure."

In the letter and subsequent interviews, Graham emphasized a central Christian message: salvation is not earned by works, but comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. He noted that Trump's decision to share the message publicly on Palm Sunday allowed millions to encounter the gospel.

Now, Graham is extending that message further through his Easter broadcast, filmed in Minneapolis-a city he described as emblematic of broader cultural tension and division.

"It's hard to understand the depth to which our country has fallen-the hatred, the violence, the crime," Graham said. "In this time of division, many are wondering, where can we find truth? Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life.' This is what Easter is all about-our hope is in a risen Savior."

The program was recorded at University of Northwestern - St. Paul, a location with historic ties to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which was headquartered in Minneapolis for more than four decades. The university also holds personal significance, as Graham's father, Billy Graham, once served as its president.

This Easter special continues a pattern of location-based broadcasts from Graham, who has previously delivered messages from crisis-impacted regions including wildfire-ravaged California, pandemic-era New York City, war-affected Ukraine, Rome's Colosseum, and Jerusalem amid Middle East tensions.

With "What is Truth?", Graham aims to present a clear gospel message during Easter-pointing viewers to what he describes as the enduring answer to uncertainty: the person of Jesus Christ.
