Ye (Kanye West) has secured his 14th top 10 album on the Billboard 200, with BULLY debuting at No. 2 and earning 152,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week ending April 2-extending a remarkable streak in which all of his top 10 albums have reached the top two.
The project's strong debut was driven by streaming, with 96,000 SEA units translating to 98.43 million on-demand official streams, helping BULLY open at No. 1 on the Top Streaming Albums chart. Traditional sales also played a significant role, totaling 56,000 units and securing a No. 3 debut on Top Album Sales, with the remainder coming from track equivalent album (TEA) units.
BULLY was released across multiple formats, arriving in physical retail on March 27 in CD, vinyl, and cassette editions before hitting digital platforms and streaming services on March 28. The rollout included an expansive range of collectible offerings, from multiple colored vinyl variants to deluxe boxed sets featuring branded merchandise and CDs, as well as signed editions-contributing to its strong first-week performance.
On the same day as its digital release, Ye dropped the official music video for "FATHER," featuring Travis Scott and directed by Bianca Censori, adding a visual dimension to the album's launch.
The album's arrival coincided with Ye's return to the live stage, marking his first major U.S. concert in nearly five years with a headline performance at SoFi Stadium on April 1. A second show followed on April 3, further amplifying momentum around the release and reinforcing his continued cultural impact.
Beyond commercial success, Ye's influence continues to resonate within gospel and faith-inspired music. His earlier projects, particularly those centered on Christian themes, helped bridge mainstream hip-hop with gospel traditions, bringing renewed visibility to faith-driven content on major charts. While BULLY itself leans more toward hip-hop and experimental production, elements within the project-including spiritually reflective themes in tracks like "FATHER"-demonstrate Ye's ongoing engagement with religious imagery and discourse.
This sustained blending of sacred themes with mainstream sound has positioned Ye as a unique figure in modern music-one who has not only achieved chart dominance but also reshaped how gospel-adjacent elements can intersect with popular culture.
With BULLY's strong debut, Ye once again proves his ability to command attention across genres, formats, and audiences-cementing his legacy as both a commercial powerhouse and a boundary-pushing artist.
