Rising Christian artist Peter Burton has reached a major career milestone, earning his first No. 1 single on Christian radio with "Where Would I Be"-a breakthrough moment he is openly attributing to his faith, his team, and the support of his family.
The debut single has climbed to the top spot on both the Billboard Christian AC and Mediabase Christian AC charts, marking a significant achievement for the California native in his first official release to radio. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Burton responded to the news with a heartfelt message: "THANK YOU JESUS! ... This is WILD!"
At the center of the celebration is not just chart success, but the message behind the song itself. Burton emphasized that "Where Would I Be" is rooted in his personal testimony, pointing listeners to the transformative power of faith and the life he has found in Jesus. "I'm so thankful that the message of this song and my testimony have been able to remind so many people of the life we have in Jesus," he shared.
The milestone also reflects a collaborative effort behind the scenes. Burton credited his co-writers, AJ Pruis and Matt Armstrong, for helping shape the song, with Pruis also handling production. He also highlighted the role of his management team, including Matthew West, and the broader support system that helped bring the project to life.
His label, Integrity Music, along with promotion teams at 55 Promotion and Boxer Poet, were also recognized for their efforts in bringing the song's message to a national audience.
Yet, beyond the industry accolades, Burton reserved his most personal gratitude for his family. He paid tribute to his wife, Allie, calling her his "greatest encourager" and acknowledging the sacrifices she made throughout the journey. He also reflected on the joy of sharing music first at home with their daughters-long before the song reached radio listeners across the country.
Framing the achievement through a spiritual lens, Burton summed up the moment with a simple but powerful reflection: "Where would I be without Jesus? Not here... and I'm so grateful I'll never know."
As "Where Would I Be" continues to resonate across Christian radio, Burton's debut success stands as both a professional breakthrough and a testimony-driven milestone-one that underscores the enduring connection between faith, music, and message.
